Information Security Architect is a key member of the Information Security team at Sony Media Software & Services (SMSS).  The Architect will primarily be responsible for designing, building and improving security solutions.  In addition, the Architect will collaborate with relevant business areas at SMSS and communicate the strategic direction of overall Information Security.  This position demands an extensive knowledge of risk management, information security and computing technologies.  Furthermore, the Architect must keep abreast of regulatory/legal changes, and evolving industry practices to ensure the global technical security architecture enables cost effective security to be delivered as an integral part of the SMSS products. 

Responsibilities include:
  •  Collaborate and consult with business areas to identify risks, develop standards, policies and guidelines, and implement appropriate information security controls.
  •  Design, implement and operationalize information security technologies and processes using organizational management methods.
  •  Facilitate the adoption and implementation of a consistent technical security architecture.
  •  Build relationships and maintain effective communications with the lead architects and development groups throughout the organization.
  •  Conduct architectural reviews and research emerging security technologies.
  •  Define technical security standards, guidelines and solutions.
  •  Maintain a roadmap for the development and update of product-oriented security architecture and standards.
  •  Other responsibilities as assigned. Position Requirements:
  •  A minimum of 6 years of Information Security experience.
  • Strong program development, management and leadership skills
  •  Ability to apply information security policies, standards and guidelines to the systems development life cycle.
  •  Demonstrated understanding of methods and models within information security to include risk analysis and mitigation, policies, regulatory environment, technologies, architecture and best-practices.
  •  Exposure to or understanding of the following concepts, practices and technologies:  Java, C++, sniffing, NIDS, HIDS, identity management, non-repudiation, access control, network & perimeter security, Threat Modeling, SSL/TLS, Digital Signatures, Access Control, Auditing Architectures, Application Vulnerabilities, Linux, Oracle products, Cisco products and Public Key Infrastructure.
  •  Strong grasp of threats to networks, operating systems and applications and the ability to demonstrate the tools used to compromise systems.
  •  Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative manner with the network, system, database and application groups to understand their objectives and propose security solutions that ensures that these objective are met in a secure manner that aligns with the company's security policies and standards.
  •  Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
  •  A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology as well as CISSP & CCDP, CCIP, ISSEP, or MCSE are a plus
